In this paper, we propose a method to determine distances
of galactic planetary nebulae on the basis of a relationship
between the central star mass Mc and the nebular N/O abundance
ratio. This relationship is used in combination with
some basic parameters of the central stars, such as the
5480 A flux, surface gravity and visual magnitude
in order to obtain distances to a sample of a hundred galactic
planetary nebulae.
