Galactic planetary nebulae (PN) form a complex system, which includes
objects with different characteristics and evolutionary stage. The
location of a sample of galactic PN central stars on the HR diagram is
attempted, in order to investigate the correspondence of the PN
properties such as chemical composition, space distribution and kinematics,
with the main sequence masses of their progenitor stars.
